PhD Postgraduate Student
Department of Psychology
I am a second year PhD student with an interest in nutritional and biological psychology. Currently, I am investigating the effects of a dietary supplement, containing cinnamon, cumin, and turmeric, on glucose tolerance, mood, and cognition in a sample of older adults.
Prior to my PhD, I completed an MSc in Research Methods in Cognitive Neuroscience at Swansea University. My dissertation explored the impact of transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) on the reappraisal of emotional images. During my MSc, I also worked as a Research Assistant. Within this role, I investigated the relationship between diet, interoception, and alexithymia, as well as the effects of omega-3 supplements on offender behaviour.
